Dramatic PLAN Recruitment Video Showing Almost All Equipment Currently Deployed

The People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN or Chinese Navy) just released its official 2015 recruitment video. The video, which is quite nicely edited, shows a large part of the vessels, planes and equipment currently deployed in China's PLAN inventory.

Worth noting in the video:
- Some of the contentious South East Asian Islands seems to be shown in the video such as Spratleys islets (at around 1:38).
- An international excercise with a Republic of Singapore Navy Formidable class Frigate is shown (at 1:45)
- The scene at 1:19 seems to be the recent evacuation of Chinese citizen from Yemen
- Zubr large landing craft are shown in action at 2:14
- While the scenes showing fighters and Liaoning aircraft carrier at 1:46 and 2:26 are real footage, the closing scene at 4:10 looks to be 3D animation and so does the scene at 1:48;

Seven PLAN Vessels Left for Sea of Japan for Large Joint Amphibious Drills with Russian Navy

Seven People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN or Chinese Navy) vessels on Saturday left east China's port city of Qingdao for the Sea of Japan where they will join Russian counterparts for a nine-day naval exercise. The drills, codenamed Joint Sea-2015 (II), will take place from Aug. 20 to 28 in the Peter the Great Gulf, waters off the Clerk Cape, and in and above the Sea of Japan. These maneuvers will for the first time involve a joint amphibious assault drill.

Sources close to the operation said the drills "are not targeted at any third party and are not relevant to regional status-quo."

The Chinese flotilla includes seven surface ships, namely:
Type 051C destroyer Shenyang (115)
Sovremennyy-class/Project 956EM destroyer Taizhou (138)
Type 054A frigate Linyi (547) and Hengyang (568)
Type 071 amphibious transport dock LPD Changbaishan
LCT-997 Yun Wushan
Type 903A replenishment ships Taihu (890).


The PLAN had two modified Sovremennyy destroyers delivered in December 1999 and November 2000. In 2002, the PLAN ordered two improved versions designated 956-EM. Six shipborne helicopters, five fixed-wing aircraft, 21 units of amphibious equipment and 200 marines will also join the exercise from the Chinese side.

The Russian navy, meanwhile, will send 16 surface ships, two submarines, nine units of amphibious equipment and 200 marines, among others, to participate in the drills.

The previous China-Russia naval drills, Joint Sea-2015 (I), were held in the Mediterranean Sea in May.

China Commissioned the 19th Type 054A Frigate Handan (579) with PLAN North Sea Fleet

According to the official journal of the People's Liberation Army Navy (PLAN or Chinese Navy) the Type 054A (NATO reporting name Jiangkai II class) Frigate Handan (hull number 579), was commissioned on August 19 with China's North Sea Fleet. It is the 19th Type 054A Frigate to join the PLAN. The Frigate keel was laid in September 2013 and launched in July 2014 by Huangpu naval shipyard in Guangzhou, Southern China.

Type 054A Frigate
Based on the Type 054 Frigates, the Type 054A incorporated a larger number of more-advanced indigenous systems. The first of class entered service with the PLAN in 2007.

Type 054A Frigates are fitted with 32 VLS (Vertical Launch System) cells for HQ-16 surface to air missiles, 8x YJ-83 (export designation C-803) anti-ship missiles, a H/PJ-26 76mm main gun, two H/PJ12 (export designation Type 730) 30mm CIWS guns (for frigates 1 to 16 in the series), two triple YU-7 torpedo launchers and anti-submarine rocket launchers for ASW warfare.

According to the latest information from our sources in China, following the initial order of 24 Type 054A frigates, the Chinese Navy would have recently added an additional order for 8 vessels of the type.

Mas para chegar ao nível da USNAVY e da gloriosa Marinha do Imperio Britanico ainda falta qualidade .

A marinha Francesa é tão boa como a Britânica.

A doutrina naval francesa permite apenas operar na retaguarda desse modo a traição e posterior fuga de seus navios fica mais rápida .
