ROTC Cadet Could Become First Female US Navy SEAL
Other women are already training to join the Naval Special Warfare community amid accusations of relaxed standards.

he U.S. Navy has confirmed a number of women are seeking to join its special operations units, including at least one who could become the first female SEAL. However, given the grueling training and in light of what are sure to be accusations of a politicized process, the service was quick to stress that there was no guarantee any of the candidates would fulfill the necessary requirements.

As of June 2017, there were two women in the pipeline for the Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Crewman program, according to a report by Military.com. Another woman, presently a college student in a Navy Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) program, is set to join the SEAL Officer Assessment and Selection (SOAS) course in the coming months, ahead of an evaluation by the SEAL Officer Selection Panel in September 2017.

The US marines are a powerful brand and that goes for both men and women, since the Corps has accepted women into its ranks since 1918. But it was only in 2016 that, for the first time, female marines have been allowed to serve in combat roles.

para vós, o Oficial é de Sargento para cima, e praça apenas cabo e soldado, correto?
No Brasil, praças são cabos, soldados e sargentos, inclusive subtenente (ou suboficial, na Marinha e Força Aérea).
Oficial é de Aspirante a oficial para cima!

No Exército Português a classe de Praças vai desde soldado Cabo-Adjunto, a classe de Sargentos vai de 2º Furriel a Sargento-Mor, a classe de Oficiais vai desde Aspirante-a-Oficial a General. Por exemplo um Sargento-Mor é quase um Deus no seu Regimento, só mesmo o Comandante da unidade (Coronel) é que tem autoridade "moral" sobre ele.
