There was a serious fire aboard Toneleros which started in the cabling while it was being fitted out, which resulted in it being towed to the Naval Dockyard at Chatham, where the entire centre section was replaced and the boat was completely rewired. As a result of this fire all Oberons under construction were rewired, with consequent delays, but there has been no recurrence of the problem.
MODERNISATION
There were plans in the mid-1980s for a major modernisation programme, which would have included fitting the British Ferranti COMKAFS (Outfit DCH) fire-control system. This programme was, however, cancelled in 1990.
OPERATIONAL
Alone among the users of the `Oberon' class, the Brazilian Navy retains the use of the two short torpedo tubes aft.
THE FUTURE
These three submarines are at the end of their useful lives and at one stage it was proposed to replace them with a class of Brazilian-designed and -built nuclear-powered attack submarines. Difficulties and delays have caused this programme to be postponed and it is now intended to replace them with a design known as the `Improved Tupi', which will be designed and constructed in Brazil, but with diesel-electric power.

Estou frequentando muito pouco o Forças Navais , por isso só vi tua missiva hoje.
Mas acho que vo decepciona-lo. Consultei um colega, e ele me desaconselhou que a resposta fosse precissa, sem falar que sua primeira e segunda pergunta vão ficar sem resposta. Embora eu trabalhasse exatamente com os MCP.
3)A mínima velocidade últil(taticamente) dos Oberons era de aproximadamente 3 nós, obviamente dependendo do regime de maré e corrente no local do trânsito.
Primeiramente o que limitava o mergulho era o Oxigênio (de trabalho) depois as baterias, principalmente após a aquisição de tecnologia nacional Saturnia.

Ô Walter, obrigado pela resposta.
Era exatamente o que eu estava imaginando, ou seja que a duração das baterias foi bastante aumentada em relação a 2ª Guerra. Li que na classa Balao era de 48 horas em condições economicas é claro.
O oxigênio, se agente se basear no que aconteceu nas Malvinas deve durar uns tres dias ( tambem naquelas condiçoes terriveis de todo mundo que for dispensado da atividade deitado no chao etc).
Muito obrigado pela resposta, como eu ja te disse sei como e que e segredo profissional, mas quem nao chora nao mama.
