A versatile fully equipped civil helicopter, the EC175 is primarily designed for two main missions: Oil&Gas crew change and Search & Rescue. But it is also perfectly capable of other roles: para-public, homeland security, police, Emergency Medical Services and corporate or VIP transport.

2 poréms:
1- O H-60 A é de 1974, o H-60 M é do ano passado.

2 - Quando ele TIVER a versão militar, vamos comparar a qual versão do H-60: HH, SH, MH, AH, EH, UH?

Russia loses $600 mln Indian attack helicopter tender
NEW DELHI, October 25 (RIA Novosti)

Russian Mi-28N Night Hunter has lost a tender on the delivery of 22 attack helicopters to the Indian military in strong competition with the American AH-64D Apache, an Indian Defense Ministry source said on Tuesday.

“We decided not to choose the Mi-28 for technical reasons. Our experts believe that the Mi-28N did not meet the requirements of the tender on 20 positions, while the Apache showed better performance,” the source said.

The future contract, worth at least $600 million, envisions an optional delivery of additional 22 helicopters.

Russia is still taking part in two other Indian helicopter tenders: on the delivery of 12 heavy transport helicopters and 197 light general-purpose helicopters.

The first tender includes the Russian Mi-26T2 and the American CH-47F Chinook helicopters, while the second involves the Russian Ka-226T and the AS550 Fennec helicopter, developed by Eurocopter.

Meanwhile, Russia continues the deliveries of Mi-17-B5 transport helicopters to India under a 2008 contract for the supply of 80 helicopters worth $1.4 billion.

The Indian military helicopter market, with its potential demand for 700 helicopters in the next decade, fuels fierce competition among foreign manufacturers.

Realmente a noticia é estranha, fala que o Mi foi eliminado, mas não diz quem ganhou. Se for assim melou, concorrências com 1 concorrente na Índia...

E eles têm o programa Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) a decorrer.

IAF picks Boeing's Apache Longbow combat chopper
http://articles.economictimes.indiatime ... at-chopper

IANS Oct 27, 2011, 03.50am IST

Indian Air Force NEW DELHI: The Indian Air Force (IAF) has selected Boeing's Apache Longbow advanced attack helicopter for its combat chopper tender . RIA Novosti news agency reported from Moscow on Tuesday that the other competitor, Russia's Mi-28 N Night Hunter, had lost to the competition.

It quoted an unnamed Indian defence ministry source as saying that the US helicopter "showed better performance" while the Russian machine did not meet the tender requirements. There was no confirmation here but well placed sources told India Strategic defence magazine that IAF's assessment report had been accepted . No details were given.

IAF has a tender for 22 combat helicopters with no options. But more would be required and should be ordered once the first few machines are delivered . According to Lt Gen (retd) BS Pawar , a noted authority on combat helicopters , Apache is far more advanced than other attack helicopter. It has executed successful missions in Afghanistan.

Deve ser igual aqui quando compraram os Mi-35, "prêmio de consolação" ou alguma "entubada goela abaixo na IAF".

Norway Takes Delivery of Its First NH90

(Source: AgustaWestland; issued Dec. 2, 2011)

AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce the delivery of the first NH90 NFH helicopter to the Norwegian Armed Forces. The delivery ceremony took place 30th November at AgustaWestland’s Vergiate facility in the presence of Brigadier General/Commander Frode R Fl?lo, NDLO Air Systems Division.

The NH90 delivered is the first of 14 NH90s intended to replace the Lynx helicopters for the Coast Guard in addition to providing helicopter ASW capability to the new Nansen class frigates. The Norwegian NH90s will be based at Bardufoss Air Station where they will start their operational career after initial training. Norway is one of the nations selecting the NFH variant together with The Netherlands, France, Italy and Belgium. A total of 111 NH90 NFH naval helicopters have been ordered by these nations.

The NH90 NFH variant is primarily designed for autonomous and joint Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and Anti Surface Warfare (ASuW) missions. The comprehensive mission equipment packages allow a wide range of additional missions to be performed including Search and Rescue (SAR), maritime patrol, vertical replenishment, troop transport, medical evacuation and amphibious support roles.

The helicopter is designed for day and night operations in adverse weather conditions from the decks of ships. Because of its optimal weight and dimensions, the deck-lock system, the deck traversing system and the automatic blade and tail folding system, it can operate from small frigates even in high sea states.

The NH90 is the most successful European helicopter programme ever. Firm orders have been placed by 14 countries including France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Portugal, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Greece, Spain and Belgium in Europe, as well as Australia, New Zealand and Oman overseas.

The NH90, developed in the TTH utility transport and NFH naval versions, proves the ideal solution to meet requirements of customers worldwide for a wide range of military roles. The NH90 programme is managed by NAHEMA (NATO Helicopter Management Agency) representing France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands and Portugal, and by the NHIndustries industrial consortium comprising AgustaWestland (32%), Eurocopter (62.5%), Fokker (5.5%).

In the framework of the NH90 programme, AgustaWestland is responsible for the production of the main transmission, tail drive shafts, hydraulic system, automatic flight control system, rear ramp, rear fuselage and on-board computers. Furthermore, AgustaWestland is also responsible for the overall integration of the NH90 naval mission system for all NFH variants and in particular the electronic warfare system for Norway.

AgustaWestland's Venice Tessera plant is the new final assembly line for the NH90s ordered by Italy (Army and Navy, 60 and 56 helicopters respectively), the Netherlands (20), Norway (14) and Portugal (10)* giving a total of 160 helicopters so far.
