MM40 Block 3
The newest MM40 version (MM40 block 3) has an improved range of 180 kilometres (110 mi; 97 nmi) through the use of a turbofan engine, and includes four air intakes to provide continuous airflow to the engine during high-G maneuvers.
The Block 3 missiles accept guidance system waypoint commands, which allow them to attack naval targets from different angles and to strike land targets, giving them a marginal role as a cruise missile
Pelo tanto que ouço falar dessa versão, achava mesmo que já estivesse em pleno uso. Mas, primeiro lançamento ainda ?

Lisboa vai receber a partir do próximo dia 30 o porta-aviões nuclear francês Charles de Gaulle, que ficará fundeado ao largo do Tejo enquanto faz exercícios conjuntos com a Marinha e a Força Aérea portuguesas, informou a Embaixada francesa.

French frigate Chevalier Paul visits Severomorsk 30.03.2010
French AA frigate Chevalier Paul pays official visit to Northern Fleet's (NF) main base Severomorsk on Tuesday.
During the visit which will last till April 3 the French mariners are going to meet with representatives of NF command and Severomorsk municipal administration; visit NF Aviation Museum, K-21 Red Banner's submarine and other sights of Severomorsk and Murmansk; play friendly soccer and volleyball games with the crew of NF destroyer Admiral Ushakov and visit the ship.
Once the port call is finished, the French frigate will take part in an exercise along with NF large ASW ship. The ships will train in joint air defense, tactical maneuvering, communication, and athwartship cargo exchange.
Chevalier Paul is a Horizon-class French Navy's frigate. She was laid down on January 13, 2005; launched on July 12, 2006. Homeport is Toulon. Displacement is 5,600 tons; length is 152.9 meters; beam is 20.3 meters; draft is 5.4 meters; speed is 29 knots; crew is 174. Armament: Exocet MM40 Block 3 antiship missile launcher; Aster 15 SAM launcher; 2 x 78-mm gun mounts Otobreda; MU90 torpedo tubes; 2 x 20-mm gun mounts F2. The ship is capable to carry NH90 multipurpose helicopter.
