Ok, admito que partiram para um outro conceito.
Agora se me permite o desabafo gostava de ver um projecto de um héli Europeu pesado que concorresse com os de Fabrico Estado-Unidense, mas possívelmente, e à luz dos actuais conceitos presentes nas operações militares talvez não se justifique

O Super-Frelon não é um heli pesado mas sim médio, tal como o NH-90. Não tenho presente a capacidade dele mas julgo ser semelhante ao NH-90. Quanto ao seu desabafo talvez esta notícia o anime:
France and Germany Want to Cooperate for a Future Transport Helicopter Joint Effort

The French and German Armament Directorates have signed a declaration of interest during the Air Show that lays out the objectives to [jointly] consider the acquisition of a future transport helicopter capability in the 2020 time frame. The diversification in tactical mobility missions, as well as lessons learned from recent operations, confirmed the need to provide armed forces with efficient and highly capable transport helicopters for personnel, light armoured vehicles and cargo. Based on its flexibility, this capability will also address personnel evacuation or emergency logistics transport, within a wide range of operational, geographical and meteorological conditions. Both Nations are commonly working to harmonise their requirements for operational and tactical airlift and air manoeuvrability in order to fill the gap beyond the capabilities provided by the NH90 systems then already in service in France and Germany (next to their CH-53 assets) on one side and the A400M on the other side. After having coordinated their national preliminary analysis studies, both Nations have decided to further extend their activities and to prepare jointly the framework conditions for a potential common project. Based on their system requirements and planning guidelines, France and Germany intend to open their potential common project to other European partner nations, in the framework of the European Defence Agency (EDA). Both Nations are also open to consider other non-EDA partner nations for participation.

Desculpa discordar, mas o Super Frellon é mesmo um heli pesado, comparado ao Super Sea Stallion americano.
O Nh 90 está na categoria dos médios.
Por exemplo o EH-101 j´pode ser considerado pesado.

Também achei estranho que a França se contentasse com os NH-90.
Até cheguei a pensar se não seria potencial cliente dos EH-101, antes do JLRC ter colocado aqui esta notícia.

O Sarkozy dando uma olhada nos subs nucleares
French President Nicolas Sarkozy (R) watches the nuclear submarine 'L'inflexible' in dry dock at the Navy base of Ile Longue, Western France, 13 July 2007. L'Inflexible S616 is the sixth and last of the Redoutable class SNLE ("Sous-marin Nucléaire Lanceur d'Engins", 'Nuclear Missile-Launching Submarine') of the FOST, the submarine nuclear deterrent component of the French Navy. Its construction began on 27 March 1980. She was launched on June 23, 1982 and was commissioned on 01 April 1985. L'Inflexible uses basically the same design as the other Redoutable-class vessels, but has yet benefited from technological advances over its predecessors, because It uses the M4 missile, which carries six independent 150 kilotonne of TNT equivalent nuclear warheads. La frégate Chevalier Paul prépare ses essais en mer

Seconde unité du type Horizon, la Frégate de Défense Aérienne Chevalier Paul devrait prendre la mer le 15 octobre pour sa première navigation au large. Avant cela, les essais au point fixe du bâtiment sont prévus le 29 septembre, la veille de la première prise de commandement. Cet été, DCNS Lorient, en charge de la construction du Chevalier Paul, a procédé à l'allumage des moteurs de propulsion. En revanche, la mise en route de la turbine à gaz, programmée initialement début septembre, n'aurait pas encore eu lieu.
On notera qu'au mois d'octobre et pour la première fois, les deux nouvelles FDA devraient être simultanément à la mer, le Forbin devant lui aussi quitter Lorient pour une nouvelle campagne d'essais. Sa livraison à la Marine nationale est prévue en juin 2008 et celle de son sistership en mai 2009.
D'une longueur de 152.9 mètres pour un déplacement de 7050 tonnes en charge, les nouvelles frégates de défense aérienne seront chargées de la protection des porte-avions et des groupes amphibies. Leur armement consiste en 32 missiles Aster 30, 16 missiles Aster 15, 8 missiles Exocet MM40, deux pièces de 76 mm, deux canons de 20 mm et deux tubes pour torpilles MU 90. Les bâtiments disposeront également d'un hélicoptère NH 90.
Le programme Horizon est mené en coopération avec l'Italie, qui construit pour sa marine deux exemplaires. Les Andrea Doria et Caio Duilio doivent rejoindre la Marina Militare début 2009 et début 2010.

A França tem falta de dinheiro para as Horizon, e contenta-se com algumas FREMM, e a Espanha acha que poderá a prazo ter mais 6 F-100 juntar ás que já tem.

repararam que estão trabalhando á noite tb...
Deve ser pára reabastecer e re-operacionalizar o CdG à tempo do navio poder fazer parte do ataque ao Irã.
