Finalmente a Fach mostra seus AIM-120

Carlos, existe uma infinidade de coisas que ele pode ter apagado no chão, com ou sem relação ao míssel. Imagina se ali tem um extintor caido, ou um reboque velho... seil lá. Mas o míssel da foto ta muito bem na imagem pra ser edição, e se for, não acredito meesmo que seja da mesma pessoa.

Mas estou discutindo só a foto, por que é fato, conhecido e anunciado aqui no DB várias e várias vezes que os AIM-120 estão no chile.

Solo para completar el tema, aparecio esta imagen en el site oficial de la fach donde se muestra un AIM 120 ( se le ve el morro) en un F16 MLU del Grupo 8 ( se nota el aparato por su esquema y tambien el escudo en el hombro del oficial)

Dummy o no, parece que ya los MLUs estan entrenando con el arma

O que foi dito a mim é que o Chile já recebeu sim os AIM-120. Não havia recebido antes porque constava no contrato que antes chegariam depois dos aviões. A frase foi: "Não fazia sentido ter os mísseis antes dos aviões". Mas agora estão lá.

Ademas, en el reporte de los EE.UU. a la comision de desarme de la ONU ( y publicado en el informe del 2007/2008) se menciona oficialmente que USA entrego a Chile Maverick AGM 65F/G

y de ese sistema NO hay reportes en DSCA

al final de todo el dia, es simple logica, que sentido tiene hoy tener un F16MU o Block50 sin sus armas?? hoy por hoy un BVR activo como AIM 120 no es especialmente critico, cuando ya se acerca al AAm Ramjet como Meteor, etc, etc...

en fin, la cosa ya se va despejando ...

Até agora o Chile não comprou AIM-120C, portanto, não pode ter recebido.

O DCSA fala cada coisa comprada nova nos EUA ou usadas. Desde que a fonte seja os EUA.

Os F-16 MLU e os Mavericks usados comprados por triangulação ou F-5E comprados da Jordânia, não precisam ter nenhuma divulgação no DSCA. O que consta para as vendas no Chile estão claras. Foram comprados Lançadores LAU-129 e todo o material necessário para sua implementação, quer dizer mísseis AIM-120C de manejo, é o que existe na foto em questão. E os mesmo podem ser colocados nos F-16 MLU usados pelo Chile, mas não podem ser usados os verdadeiros.

Os mísseis Harpoons comprados.

Chile - HARPOON Block II Missiles
On 28 September 2005, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress of a possible
Foreign Military Sale to Chile of 20 RGM-84L HARPOON Block II missiles as well as associated
equipment and services. The total value, if all options are exercised, could be as high as $50 million.
The Government of Chile has requested a possible sale of 20 RGM-84L HARPOON Block II missiles;
containers; training devices; spare and repair parts; supply/technical support; support equipment;
personnel training and training equipment; technical data and publications; U.S. Government and
contractor engineering and logistics support services; and other related elements of logistics support. The
estimated cost is $50 million.
This proposed sale will contribute to the foreign policy and national security of the United States by
helping to improve the security of a friendly country that has been and continues to be an important force
for political stability and economic progress in South America.
Chile intends to use the HARPOON missiles to maintain the Anti-Ship Warfare capability of its frigates
purchased from the Royal Netherlands Navy. The RGM-84 HARPOON Block II upgraded targeting
capability significantly reduces the risk of hitting non-combatant targets thus improving Chile’s naval
operational flexibility. The missiles will assist the Chilean Navy to develop and enhance standardization
and operational ability with the United States. Chile will have no difficulty absorbing these additional
missiles into its armed forces.
The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not affect the basic military balance in the region.
The prime contractor will be The Boeing Company of St. Louis, Missouri. There are no known offset
agreements proposed in connection with this potential sale.
Implementation of this proposed sale will not require the assignment of any additional U.S. Government
or contractor representatives to Chile permanently. There may be U.S. Government or contractor
personnel in-country on a temporary basis in conjunction with program technical and management
oversight and support requirements.
There will be no adverse impact on U.S. defense readiness as a result of this proposed sale.
This notice of a potential sale is required by law; it does not mean that the sale has been concluded

Chile - Sale of F-16C/D Block 50+ and KC-135A Aircraft
On 13 June, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress of a possible Foreign
Military Sale of F-16 Aircraft, KC-135 Aircraft and associated equipment and services.
The Government of Chile (GOC) has requested a possible sale of 10 F-16C/D Block 50+ aircraft
and two KC-135A aircraft (to be reconfigured to KC-135R). The F-16 aircraft will be either
configured with the F100-PW-229 or F110-GE-129 engine and the KC-135 aircraft will be
configured with the General Electric CFM-56 engine. Jet engines to power these aircraft will be
acquired by direct commercial sale and notified by a 36(c) notification. This proposed sale also
includes: 10 APG-68(V)XM FMS radar, four LITENING II Navigation Targeting Pod (FMS
version), 10 M61 Vulcan cannons, 40 LAU-129 launchers, six each of the AN/ALQ-131 and
AN/ALQ-184 countermeasures, Night Vision Goggle compatible cockpits, and the capability to
employ a wide variety of munitions. Associated support equipment, software
development/integration, modification kits, spares and repair parts, flight test instrumentation,
publications and technical documentation, personnel training and training equipment, U.S.
Government and contractor technical and logistics personnel services, and other related
requirements to ensure full program supportability will also be provided. The estimated cost of
the F-16C/D aircraft program is $636 million. The estimated cost of the KC-135 aircraft
program is $78 million.
This proposed sale will contribute to the foreign policy and national security of the United States
by helping to improve the security of a friendly country which has been and continues to be an
important force for political stability and economic progress in South America.
The proposed sale of these F-16 aircraft will allow the Chilean Air Force to maintain a strong
defense while it continues its plans to modernize its shrinking inventory of aging aircraft. Chile's
unique geography dictates the need for the KC-135's aerial refueling capability for its front-line
fighter aircraft. The GOC does not have the F-16 aircraft system capability currently in its
inventory.
The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not affect the basic military balance in the
region.
The prime contractor will be Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Corporation of Fort Worth, Texas.
One or more proposed offset agreements may be related to this proposed sale.

The total value, if all options are exercised, could be as high as $ 123 million.
The Government of Chile has requested a possible sale for 28 LAU-129/A launchers, support equipment, spare and repair parts, program support, publications, documentation, personnel training, training equipment, contractor technical and logistics personnel services and other related elements of program support for F-16 Mid-Life Update aircraft. The estimated cost is $123 million.
The proposed sale will contribute to the foreign policy and national security of the United States by helping to improve the security of a friendly country that has been and continues to be an important force for political stability and economic progress in South America. Chile has deployed forces to numerous different peacekeeping operations around the world and plays a significant role in Haiti. Chile firmly supports our current efforts in the Global War on Terror. Its willingness to deploy to peacekeeping and humanitarian operations while U.S. forces are occupied elsewhere has had a significant impact on regional, political, and economic stability and serves U.S. national security interests.
Chile is modernizing its antiquated Air Force fleet. As the Chilean Air Force equips these aircraft so that they can launch modern missiles and become operational, it plans to retire its entire French Mirage aircraft fleet.
The proposed sale of this equipment and support will not affect the basic military balance in the region.
The principal contractors will be:
Lockheed Martin Fort Worth, Texas
Pratt & Whitney United Technology Company East Hartford, Connecticut
There are no known offset agreements proposed in connection with this potential sale.

(Washington, D.C.) The Defense Security Cooperation Agency today noted the presentation to
the Government of Brazil of an offer to sell advanced F-16 block 50/52 fighters with associated
weapons and equipment, to include the AMRAAM missile. The F-16 Fighting Falcon is the
world’s most successful fighter aircraft. It has operated in a variety of challenging conditions
around the world, to include combat in Kosovo, Afghanistan, Iraq and Bosnia. In addition to the
USAF, 22 other countries rely upon the F-16.
This US offer marks a new foundation for building an even stronger relationship between our air
forces—a relationship built on greater trust and respect for the capabilities of the Brazilian Air
Force

Me lembro há anos atrás que era só aparecer a foto que acreditariam, apareceram as FUETOS (que não se lembra quando zoavamos o Degan? FUETOOOS!). Agora o modus operandi é outro: ver o papelzinho do DSCA. Te contar.

Sim, eu acredito que há AIM-120 no Chile e minhas fontes não são da internê.
