A STATEMENT REGARDING NEW RUMORS

We don’t normally respond to fan or press speculation, but there is a rumor circulating that we would like to address. We want to assure our fans that Lucasfilm has no plans to digitally recreate Carrie Fisher’s performance as Princess or General Leia Organa.

Carrie Fisher was, is, and always will be a part of the Lucasfilm family. She was our princess, our general, and more importantly, our friend. We are still hurting from her loss. We cherish her memory and legacy as Princess Leia, and will always strive to honor everything she gave to Star Wars.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi — confirmado o nome do episódio VIII da franquia

nda falta um bom tempo para que possamos ir até os cinemas e assistir ao episódio VIII de Star Wars. Mas uma novidade bem legal acaba de ser revelada no perfil oficial da franquia nas redes sociais. Está ansioso? Pois fique sabendo que em dezembro vamos conferir "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" (O Último Jedi, em português).

Ainda não há confirmação de enredo e nem nada muito revelador, mas os fãs mais apaixonados já devem estar fazendo várias especulações, não é mesmo? Afinal de contas, será que o "último Jedi" se refere ao nosso conhecidíssimo Luke Skywalker? Ou Rey vai se revelar uma verdadeira guerreira capaz de controlar a Força como os heróis que conhecemos nas trilogias anteriores?

The Last Jedi's Opening Crawl Seen On Rian Johnson's Instagram


This week, we finally learnt the news that Star Wars Episode VIII's official title would be The Last Jedi – naturally sending everyone into feverish tides of speculation over what the hell it all means. The film's director, Rian Johnson, is still busy at work on post-production, and in the wake of the announcement, posted a behind-the-scenes shot from his editing suite on his Instagram feed – take a look below.



With the caption "Felt so good to drop this into the cut this morning", the photo shows the newly-revealed title on Star Wars iconic opening crawl (all present and correct after Rogue One's rebellious decision to drop it). Also visible in the surprisingly modest little suite is a small R2-D2 droid.

There's not much more exciting information to be gleaned from the post, but heck, it's Star Wars, and there's a certain nostalgic thrill to see a brand new opening crawl in its embryonic stages.

Post-production continues for a little while longer on The Last Jedi, with editing, visual effects, and a John Williams score still be added, ahead of the planned 15 December worldwide release date – a mere 324 days away.

Já aqui alguém leu a trilogia? Eu li e gostei, mas penso que um filme nunca poderia ter o mesmo ambiente porque neste momento o mundo muçulmano não é propriamente bem visto no Ocidente e os livros têm muito sabor à cultura e espiritualidade muçulmana.

Já li há muitos anos...confesso que me esqueci da historia praticamente toda, o que recordo é do filme do David Lynch

Ontem assisti "Rengô kantai shirei chôkan: Yamamoto Isoroku" no netflix. Procurei o Fury e não achei, aí apareceu esse sobre Yamamoto.

O filme japonês é legal. Todo falado em japonês que dá realismo. Foca no caráter humano dos japoneses. Só que endeusa demais o Yamamoto. Algo que estragou o propósito dar um rosto ao comando militar japonês. Um Yamamoto mais humano e cheio de erros ficaria daria mais profundidade.

O ator de 71 anos lutava contra um câncer de pâncreas.



Richard Hatch, protagonista da série Battlestar Galactica como o Capitão Apollo, morreu nessa terça-feira (7). O ator de 71 anos lutava contra um câncer de pâncreas estágio 4, segundo o produtor e roteirista Alec Peters.

"Ele era um homem bom, um homem gracioso, e um profissional perfeito. Sua partida é um golpe duro em toda a família BSG", escreveu Ronald D. Moore, criador do reboot de Battlestar Galactica. A retomada da franquia espacial, aliás, permitiu que Hatch revivesse seu sonho de infância.



"No meu caso, Battlestar Galactica foi um marco fundamental. Isso me permitiu a oportunidade de viver meus sonhos e fantasias de infância", Hatch dizia. "Viajar pelo espaço de maneira irresponsável, interpretar o herói deslumbrante, lutar com Cylons, monstros e supervilões — o que mais um homem poderia querer?"

Indicado ao Globo de Ouro por seu trabalho na série espacial, Richard Hatch teve outros papéis de destaque na TV norte-americana, como All My Children, a Hawaii Five-O original e The Streets of San Francisco, substituindo Michael Douglas.
