Pensa-se no Tracker S-2 , pois ele serviria em função do seu peso. As células existem em AMARC EUA e bastaria(?) trocar os motores por turbo-hélice.
Bom, em um site extra-oficial do ARMAC consta apenas um Tracker disponível (136475/ AXLA0001/ Grumman US-2A Tracker/ 384/ 15-Oct-82). Os outros já estão reservados, a maioria para o USFS.

Ai fica a pergunta, seria interessante modernizar o C-1 Trader?
Vale lembrar que essas aeronaves foram utilizadas por pelo menos 20 anos na USN, sendo que a sua função era o transporte de carga (NAe-NAe, terra-NAe e NAe-terra), ou seja, decolavam e pousavam carregados, o que aumenta o desgaste da aeronave, principalmente em pousos e decolagens embarcado.
A minha resposta seria não!

Concordo com você! Sem contar que, diferente do P-3 Orion (mais de 400 aeronave operacional + os do ARMAC), o Tracker faz parte do inventario de poucas FA’s(5 ?), que teriam hoje no máximo 70 aeronaves operacionais (grande parte comprada usada dos EUA).
