This video from Jan 03 2012, showcasing Chinese PLAN (People's Liberation Army Navy) Type 022 (Houbei Class) Fast Attack Missile Craft testing countermeasures using flares, active radarjamming, fragmental particle decoys (Chaffs), and active CIWS (close-in-weapon-system)

The catamaran itself is designed to take out large fleets, such as US carrier group by overwhelming the US carrier group's defenses by operating in groups using massive salvos of active seeking antiship misslies (The entire catamaran is designed as Anti-ship-missile ramp hosting eight YJ-83 Anti-ship missiles - housed in two large missile launch complexes at the stern).

China currently have 80-100 of the Type 022 Catamarans in active duty, with more upgrade versions on its way

(Jan. 31, 2012) Sailors from Beach Master Unit (BMU) 2 direct the beach landing of a landing craft air cushion (LCAC) from Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 4 for embarking Marines to the amphibious assault ship USS Kearsarge (LHD 3) during Bold Alligator 2012. Exercise Bold Alligator 2012, the largest amphibious exercise in the past 10 years, represents the Navy and Marine Corps' revitalization of the full range of amphibious operations. The exercise focuses on today's fight with today's forces, while showcasing the advantages of seabasing.
