Mais uma data limite...

A data mais importante não são as que estão sendo divulgadas, mas sim a data do dia 6 de dezembro de 2010, que é a data em que teremos o encontro do NJ com a presidenta eleita Dilma. É importante ver e analisar as reações após tal encontro é vital; saberemos se o NJ continua (algo muito importante em relação ao FX-2), e se há sorriso ou cara emburrada. Se a gente ver sorrisos e falas seguras, então o resultado será em breve, talvez antes do tal dia 15. Explico: 15 é o dia em que o presidente Lula se encontrará com o Sarkozy para a inauguração de uma importante ponte; se for Rafale, então veremos alguma pompas e circunstâncias, mas nada impede que o caça seja anunciado antes, após reunião do Conselho de Defesa. Se não for Rafale, então o anúncio não será antes e nem no dia 15 (seria um constrangimento para o Sarkozy), como acredito que teremos imposição de tempo, bem, então acredito que não será anunciado por este governo.

Opinião minha: será anunciado neste governo, então só pode ser Rafale (pelos argumentos acima).

Sagem Défense Sécurité, a SAFRAN Group subsidiary, now enters the select few members of HMDS manufacturers by winning, with the Gerfaut HMDS, the competition for the development, the industrialisation and the serial production of the HMDS for the Rafale aircraft.

The new generation combat avionics systems comprise equipment that multiplies the offensive capacities of the aircraft : the Helmet Mounted Display & Sight (HMDS). With the help of this new helmet, which provides symbology on the visor, the pilot can designate his target simply by looking at it thus saving previous seconds in dogfight, which gives full meaning to the saying “first sight, first shot”.

Technological breakthrough

The Gerfaut success once again demonstrates the ability of SAFRAN Group companies to choose the technological breakthrough at the right time, here with the miniaturisation of LCD displays and the optical Head Tracking System (HTS).

Regarding the LCD displays, they are already part of mature technologies used in the field of military avionics and it is the miniaturisation that can be achieved today (here, for the Gerfaut, the size of the display is similar to the one of a 1 Euro coin) that makes them nicely suitable of HMDS applications since they dramatically outcome their predecessors, the Cathode Ray Tubes (CRT): light weight, no high voltage in the helmet, no distorsion due to temperature. The use of such displays significantly improves the ergonomy of the helmet and enables the pilot to concentrate on his mission.

Growth opportunities

Regarding the optical Head Tracking System, this is based on the following principle: clusters of Light Emitting Diodes (LED), the geometry of which being well known, are fitted on the helmet outer shell and are continuously recorded by small cameras installed in the aircraft cabin. Image processing, at high frequency, allows to restitute the geometry of the clusters and thus to compute the position and line of sight of the pilot. Compared to previous techniques, the major advantages of this optical technology is the accuracy and the immunity to electromagnetic perturbations; this enables the pilot to force his missile seekers or his optical captors on the line of sight indicated by his head.

For the French RAFALE, 336 Gerfaut HMDS have been ordered so far. The Gerfaut is also part of the avionics suite of the export Rafale. With this success in the field of individual equipment for pilots, Sagem Défense Sécurité enters new growth opportunities.

Infelizmente Franco, essa notícia é de 2005 e esse encomenda e a integração não se materializou.

A presidente eleita, Dilma Rousseff recebeu nesta tarde o ministro da Defesa, Nelson Jobim, na Granja do Torto, para reunião que durou quase três horas. Jobim, que deve permanecer no cargo no novo governo, deixou o local por volta das 17h30, sem falar com a imprensa.

O ministro chegou à residência de Dilma no período de transição em torno das 14h45. Entre os possíveis temas a serem discutidos no encontro estariam a permanência dele na pasta, a compra de 36 caças para a Força Aérea Brasileira (FAB) e a situação da segurança pública no Rio de Janeiro.

O Brasil negocia com França, Estados Unidos e Suécia um acordo de compra de aviões de combate para renovar a frota e reforçar a vigilância de ativos estratégicos. O governo já manifestou a preferência pelo modelo francês Rafale, apesar do custo mais alto."

Após quase três horas de reunião com a presidente eleita, Dilma Rousseff, o ministro Nelson Jobim (Defesa) deixou a Granja do Torto, residência de campo da Presidência, sem falar com a imprensa.

A expectativa era de que nesse encontro fosse formalizado o convite para que ele permaneça no cargo no futuro governo e ainda um desfecho para a compra de novos caças para a Aeronáutica.

Segundo assessoria de Dilma, a reunião foi para discutir futuro governo e as ações das Forças Armadas no Rio de Janeiro no combate ao crime organizado --além da presença dos militares na pacificação do Complexo do Alemão e da Vila Cruzeiro que foram ocupados em resposta a onda de ataques de criminosos na cidade.

Jobim chegou ao Torto em seu carro particular, modelo Land Rover. Pela manhã, a presidente eleita recebeu o presidente do PT, José Eduardo Dutra, e seus futuros ministros Antonio Palocci (Casa Civil) e Gilberto Carvalho (Secretaria-Geral).

O ex-ministro Mangabeira Unger (Secretaria de Assuntos Estratégicos) também esteve no local.

Sobre as compras dos caças para renovar a frota da FAB (Força Aérea Brasileira), a Folha antecipou em janeiro, relatório técnico que apontou o Gripen NG, da Saab, sueca, em primeiro lugar, principalmente pelo melhor preço e por propiciar maior transferência de tecnologia.

O F-18 norte-americano, considerado pelos pilotos o melhor avião em si, ficou em segundo; o Rafale francês, preferido por Jobim e pelo Planalto por questões políticas, ficou em terceiro e último. Só ganhou num dos sete critérios analisados.

Apesar da indicação técnica da FAB, Jobim manteve a preferência pelo Rafale, alegando que há "uma aliança estratégica" do Brasil com a França.

A decisão final cabe ao presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, que deve convocar o Conselho de Defesa Nacional ainda nesta semana, provavelmente na quinta-feira, para ratificar a opção.

Por que o Mangabeira, que estava fora da negociata com o Sarkozy, foi chamado para a mesma reunião com a Dilma, mesmo sabendo que ele não queria os Rafale?
Por que a Dilma voltou da Ásia passando pela Rússia e somente após isso marcou a reunião para o F-X?
